I think everyones does this time of year. Around Xmas, you have containers all over the place, which really costs you a lot of time with manuvering around. Plus, there are the holiday drivers. Need I say more??

Every region is different but GM pays Grocery pay but your mileage suffer. GM on the weekends with a lot of activity it's achievable. I am more concerned on consistency . Sutherland we average about 100 miles to each store.

I start my week on Wednesday. All 3 days this week so far, I've been over $400. Wednesday and Thursday each were over $445. You just can't hang out in break rooms, talking and lollygagging.

What DC do you pull out of? How long have you been at Walmart?

Hmmm, I see here that the only thing that pertains to me is that I need 4 to 5 more months of experience(for a total of 30 months) to fully qualify. First year drivers average 82 grand.... WOW!

It depends on the area that you are applying in. Not to burst your bubble, but most areas will not hire anywhere near the minimum. They usually have many more applicants than positions. They pick the most highly qualified people to interview. Your best bet for close to minimum would be the NorthEast.

Also, if you get an in person interview (as opposed to one on the phone), do not hesitate to show up dressed up. I wore a suit and tie, then changed into nice jeans and a dressy polo shirt for the road test. Fresh haircut and clean shave. Make an impression that you are not a typical truck driver.
