Wannabe here looking for some advise.

Hey there all, As you probably figured I'm new here and find these forums extremely helpful and informative. Anyway I'm in a bit of a predicament here, I'm currently trying to get into a trucking school with financial assistance from a carrier here in the St.Louis area and things were going fine until I submitted my driving record.

I have 1 DUI and 2 refusals on my driving record from 14 years ago, my driving record was spotless to that point and is spotless after and of coarse the carrier dropped me from the program before I started class. The school is still working with me obviously they want my money, and are trying to get me hired with some carries they usually don't work with.

I'm just wondering if with those marks on my record from 14 years ago will any carrier take a chance with and hire me or should I just give up on my dream of driving otr? Any suggestions or advise would be greatly appreciated and thank you all in advance!
