Good morning,
Thanks for all the info. It's good to get info from peope who have experience these things. Central Refridgerated, CR England and CRST are the ones I was mainly looking into and applying to. I'm thinking of Central more for some reason. I glad I joined this forum. I am learning so much from all of you that have experienced this and not just from reading about it. I will be looking into the other ones you recommended Challenger. Thanks Bumper and Challenger for the heads up and I am looking forward to being a trucker.

BigRigEvan Thanks this. -
Thanks Porkchop 190,
I can't start until January myself. Retiring from my current job on January 3rd and ready to get started in January 6th. I'll check into it and see what up.Chinatown Thanks this. -
Central Refrigerated is a good choice for company training & so is Millis for you living in Atlanta. Make sure your blood pressure and sugar levels are good, even with medication, or you will be sent home before you even get started in orientation.

I feel really great to know that there are so many people out there willing to give advice on getting into the truck driving industry. I feel like I'm going to be alright when I get out there. Thanks Chinatown, I appreciate the heads up on the companies and the health tip.

Welcome to the forum. Lots of great folks willing to give advice. Once you get enough posts try to pm Chinatown. He is the " go to " guy for info on companies around here. Always has great info. Good luck in your 2nd career!!!

Thanks Tonythetruckerdude. I'll keep Chinatown on mind.

I've heard some good things about Central, and they run nice equipment. Always seem to have clean trucks and nice trailers.
I'd recommend Maverick definitely, but you'd need to call Recruiting because Atlanta is outside of our hiring area, but might just be close enough to make sure you get home regularly. We have lots of freight in TN, but I've only been to Atlanta twice since I've been here. -
i start jan 21st. im not 21 yet but will be jan 17th and cant wait to get started at prime

Thanks CaptainX3, I just pull the website and going to look it over.
