She's not a rookie; she knows what she wants and it's not a local job. She ran the road for 7 years with her ex, so she's not going into this uninformed.
Not everyone wants a local job; I sure don't and would consider jumping off a cliff if that was my only choice.
@SMW78 - tell us where your location is so we know the hiring area you live in.

Just reread her post, so why don't you just get your CDL on your own? It's somewhat possible. You have the experience. Take the test(written) and take a refresher course and hopefully the refresher course will take you to take your CDL (driving test) at DMV and your done. @Chinatown will hook you up with company in your area.
SMW78 Thanks this. -

I'm on the eastern shore of VA. Close to Wallops Island and just 45 min from Salisbury Md. Delmarva they call this area--delaware, maryland and virginia. -

Some good companies over on the East coast. I'm sure Chinatown will help with that. Abilene is one good one. Many women are getting into this biz. I've seen them here and in Europe doing it solo. Saw a May Trucking truck with a solo lady that looked almost 60. Spoke to her while I was training for my CDL. Then again I am more shocked learning some drivers out there are only 22.
SMW78 Thanks this.
