Depending on the schedual you can work and go to school, you have a haz, you could do night fuel del, in a B truck excc... when you apply, apply as a "driver" tell em you have a A, you want a A truck, but you are more than willing to run a B for 6 months to a year to prove your saftey and reliabillity.
And it might not work out at tbe first place.... so what? Your a driver. Aside from a few major mistakes you will always be able to get a job. Might not like it, butcit will work till you find something better
I've thought about trying to work through school but honestly haven't had more than a few days off at a time in years and not too many times either. I think it would do me a lot of good to focus on school and look for a job rather than work through it. Kinda looking forward to it
Yeah I'm sure I won't have a great job till I get my foot in the door and gain some experience, be able to see all what's out there. I'm willing to go through that
Then do it. btw make sure dmv dosent lose your endorsments when you go up to an A. Lost my doubles tripples and tanker. Didnt notice thwn they said to late when a year later i tried to get them added back on. That was just on a renewal of my A.
One last thing, the best companys to work for tend to not post job openings. They dont have to. Ive found a few jobs, and more then a few offers just by calling and asking, "are you looking for drivers?" Dont rely on craigslist or indeed, especialy in a town as small as canton....
Yeah that's what I'm getting, the hard up high turnover places all have ads out. Think I'm gonna have to pound the pavement and just pop in to some places
