Trazodone.... yes it worked. But a couple problems. First is it made me irritable during the day. Second is we were treating a symptom. Got rid of the racing at night. But didn't make me sleep better. I'm addressing sleep with a yogurt developed by William Davis MD. It's based on microbe L reuteri. It's working slowly. Actually slept 8 hours straight other night. Keep getting better. There are youtube videos on this l reuteri.

Try strawberries for better sleep. Or just put them in your yogurt.

Thought you people might be interested in other going on last year. Since they had me lay in a bed for two weeks, waiting for me to die. I was diagnosed with Sepsis. Thinking back, my symptoms were there. Even beyond the three months in the hospital. My PCP was following up. In the three months after getting out. I remember telling her that nothing was working right. I remember blood in urine, air in urine. She had a CT scan done where they filled my bladder with a liquid. Due to being a truck driver. My bladder was big. He didn't fill it all the way. Said I already had more than anyone else he did this on. She really wanted it filled for the test. Anyway...Back on Jan 14th (in hospital), they did a Albumin, Urine/Creatinine UR test. Where they test then compare the two. It tells the condition of the Kidneys. The ratio should be under 30. This year it came in 38. A year ago, in the hospital, it came up 591. No wonder they expected me to die. Along with everything else. I keep going back and looking at records. Learning more about what was going on with me. It's sobering.
Now I'm getting much exercise. Dropping drugs. Doctors don't like it. Oh well. Cardiologist claimed the drugs are the only thing holding me together. I've cut from 11 drugs to 4, so far. Feeling better just because of less drugs. Gonna get off all of them. Eating far better.

Just wanted to share a good memory when I drove. I was stopped at a small truck stop in Joisey. Was going to go into NYC for the first time in the morning. I was inside. Asked a driver about going in. My delivery was on Long Island. I was to go over the George Washington bridge for the first time. He called over a couple drivers he knew. Told them to congratulate me. I was about to join an elite group of drivers. We're the top 1%. We're above 99% of all drivers who won't go into NYC. They all shook my hand. Told me that running the George Washington Bridge is known as "running the GW." They informed me. On Long Island you have to have your tandems all the way forward. Otherwise you won't make some of those turns. Watch ahead. Some roads they don't allow trucks. Others are for trucks. Don't get caught on the wrong one. ...This was one of those little gems of good memory I have as a driver.
I ended up delivering on Long Island, Brooklyn, Statin Island.
BTW: My keto diet is working out good. Interesting on how I always have energy. If I don't eat now and then, start feeling better instead of worse. Need to make sure I get my minerals. If I push not eating too much. I can get Keto Flu. Has happened once with lack of sleep.

The Nurse Practioners (they can write prescriptions) and doctors are nothing but legalized drug dealers/pushers. If something is off in one area of the bloodwork they want you to take pharma med A, something else pharma med B...... I suppose they were trained/indoctrinated that way. One would think they get a commission for every prescription they write.
Exercise and a good diet go a long way. You are your best advocate.
Something else I learned is that blood tests are not always accurate. Years ago I had something like 10 blood tests in a year that were inaccurate till they told me I had irritable bowel. They would run the test a second time and the value was normal. Sent me to a specialist thinking I had MS Multiple Sclerosis because the test value was something like 250. Doctor laughed and said that the normal value was .3 - .8 and the value was impossible, someone screwed up the blood test.

I've had them redo tests over and over again. One that was ridiculous. Kept checking glucose. Also metabolic panels (include glucose). Treating me with insulin injections in the hospital. They knew I had a sleep problem. Up every night, most of the night, having fun with the nurses. It never dawned on them that my high glucose was the result of bad sleep. I finally addressed this last fall. Have gotten sleep mostly good. My next A1C should be about 4.6. An average of my glucose readings I've been getting over the last month and a half. I've dropped the use of Ozempic completely. No diabetes drugs at all. My last one recently which included much bad sleep was 6.1.

I actually got 8 hours of good sleep last night! First time in...gee...I can't remember? First thing trucking that ruined my sleep was reefer. I swear, I lived overtired the entire time. Worst was when I would low power in to deliver at 2am "legally". At 7 am I'd get a call from dispatch to hurry over and pick up this load. I'd ask when I'm supposed to get any sleep? He'd say: "Your clock! Your clock!" I'd tell him; F! my clock! How the hell do you think I delivered at 2am!
Last night was completely goofed up. Takes a trucker to handle it. I goofed and was trying to separate two frozen steaks with a knife. Drove it into my left hand. Couldn't stop bleeding. I'm on blood thinners. Called paramedics. Ended up in emergency. They sewed me up. Doc. told me I couldn't use my Far Infrared Sauna last night. Didn't want me sweating under the bandage. I had had it. Just took everything in stride. Relaxed more than usual.
Last week started Physical Therapy to strengthen left leg. Have spent 9 months babying that leg because of the pain of adapting to the prosthesis. Week before last the prosthetic guy relieved pain for the first time. Looks like I'm at the end of adapting. Been doing hip exercises. Hips so achy and sore from the exercise. Exercise working. I can now walk with only one crutch. Not alot. ...
So last night I threw everything to the wind that I usually do. I made it over to the Y to do one lap. One crutch, wrapped up left hand, and all. Then went over to Hardy's and got a burger without a bun or ketchup at 9pm. I don't eat after 3pm. Last night was what the heck, just relax and enjoy. Watching blood sugar and on keto. I had eaten a little carbs before my accident also. I figured what the heck? Just relax and take it all in stride. BTW: Paramedic checked my blood sugar in ambulance. It had spiked to 136. That's what two teaspoons of peas and one teaspoon of mashed potatoes did. Had Turkey, which I don't think affected blood sugar. That's from my meals on wheels dinner.
I'm surprised....Got good deep 8 hours sleep. I'm also producing ketones this morning! But with the highest blood sugar I've had in 2 months...it was 102.

I'm posting this because I think you people would find it interesting. You would want to know. This is a short video explaining understanding of fasting.
This Doctor is outstanding. Watched many of his videos. At one time, he described my heart to me exactly. Said it was due to toxins. He has alerted me to the fact that although I may be killing glucose/diabetes. My insulin may very well still be high. What to do about it. I'm very thankful to him for much understanding in metabolic health.
I've watched many videos on metabolic health. They're learning this is what it all comes down to. I'm also buying the books these people write. You can bet it all does surely come down to metabolic health.

I got some better than great news. I've been fighting with Heart and Vascular at the Hospital over cutting out drugs and my Keto Diet. Finally got to the point of them refusing to answer any question. They turned belligerent. Decided to refer me to my "diabetes doctor" or general practitioner. So? I set up an appointment with her. She had obviously been ordered to talk down my Keto diet. She did so in a soft way. Was careful. Assured me she is in my corner. I admit I took with a grain of salt. She did complete blood work on me. Which I asked for. Those idiots in HV had me on statins for a year and never checked my liver. All blood work was done instantly. No fasting. She came back and said: I can't believe it! Nobody ever does this! You worked your way down out of diabetes to be a non diabetic. You're normal! Nobody does this! I think you're my first patient to do this! ... All blood work showed good. Then the big one... I had asked her to test insulin. They had to send it away to be read. It came back at 2.6...the very bottom...low insulin. But not too low. She put a note with it and said; Great work! You keep up your healthy low carb. high protein diet! ....made me cry...She actually is in my corner.
BTW: Only thing she demanded me; Promise me you won't do the Oreo LDL cure. :laughing-guffaw:
