Don't know how to deactivate it... but one click of a button on the wiper lever and it goes away for awhile

Don't misunderstand this, I'm not running neither a Volvo nor a Freightliner.

A few years ago, Bison had an increased number of frozen DEF systems, the problems were repeating until they found those fully closed grill covers. The maintenance department released a Qualcom message, making the drivers aware of the situation. All the grill covers got removed and taken out of the trucks once they came in for service. From that time on, new trucks are even ordered without those clips to put a cover on.

In another situation, my son bought a 2004 Mini Cooper where the temp sensor was missing. It had the CEL on until we installed the sensor.

If in doubt, contact your dealer.

Hello Boss. My truck says it's freezing and wont drive on it. Do you have a older truck? //sarcasm.

This nanny stuff has to stop, it takes a little something out of the driver at large.

This isn't the first time this question has been asked.

    Short answer is. NO.

That was the answer I got from FL. I'm sure Volvo has the same answer.

It's pretty annoying in any vehicle. My car doesn't chime. But it's still annoying on the display screen.

Lowe's, Home Depot, Menards, will be having a BOGO free electrical tape sale, this weekend....

i have done the electrical tape "thing" on the passenger side air bag warning light...

like doh...i know, no one is sitting there, and like DOH...i know when someone IS sitting there...why do i need to be reminded the passenger air bag is either on or off..????

Oh yes the seat belt thing. Our car has a freaking key for it too so you can deactivate it.

    Why?

Because the freaking bag will kill a kid. Say younger than 12.

Thats one of several cars anyhow. All these nanny posts just gives me a warm fuzzy to keep my older truck. It might be worth some money someday when advertised as non aggravating, non nanny vehicle to drive eh? /snarky.

Well then maybe you shouldnt comment "worst advice ever" when you have no clue on the volvo system. I posted this in the Volvo forum, got everything from freightliner to mini cooper crap. The one person who actually knows about Volvo's gets blasted for a statement. I am sorry I asked!
