Ronin,
You mentioned you are an Investigator of some sort in San Antonio and used to be a Police Officer. You and I have this profession in common. I have alot of info on this subject and think WE should have coffee. I don't have enough posts to send you a PM and was wondering if you could send me one with contact info so we can try to help some of these folks. Thanks, willsurvive p.s. You name the Jim's and I'll MOSEY on over. -
Terry, you need Kathy Orr, your attorney
. At least in terms of fighting for your parental rights - which evidently don't mean much to you.
Sounds like the OP has an AXE to grind and not just in regards to trucking.
Anyone ELSE see the GLITCH in her posts , originally was owed $9,300.00 then it was $7,165.00 for 13 days work . -
everyone lies a little bit, it's just like squeezing that extra 15-30 minutes out of your log.

Now MELTON we all know FUDGING the old LOG is a NO NO
Meltom Thanks this. -
I'm sorry for any confusion. I wanted to post the warning for JTA Transport quickly and didn't have all of the figures, copies of Bills of Lading, etc - so I guesstimated. After adding everything up, we are only owed 7,165. That is why the number changed.
As for me having an axe to grind....... I have never met the man. My children are grown (28 and 26). This is simply information I have gotten from authorities in Texas. I want him to know we are getting close and even with living in hotels, the police will eventually find him. -
Seriously that's it. Slander and Ronin sucks. You needs to have more than that.

I'm amazed at people who claim they're going to sue someone for slander or libel. First, they usually don't know the definition of either term, nor do they realize that if something is true, then it's not a vicious false attack on someone.
Secondly, most people who claim they're going to sue someone (for anything) have never met an attorney in their lives, certainly don't have one on retainer, couldn't afford a retainer, and only get their aggression from Jim Adler's ads on TV.
After being involved with the real side of the law, not the reality TV version, I get a chuckle every time I hear someone claim they're going to sue anyone for anything.
One of my acquaintances that I culled from my cellphone contacts, Steve, was always ranting and raving about how his company was screwing him... he'd be 4 hours late for getting home on hometime, and would swear "that's a lawsuit! Breach of contract!"... at first, I laughed and said, you have to have a specific contract before it can be breached, and I guarantee no one from your company signed an agreement that you'd be jogging in place at your house at the exact minute you expected...
Never mind, also, that he'd just get tired of driving for the day and shut down at 2 in the aftrenoon and spend the rest of the day squatted in front of a casino machine...
I tried talking with him on the whole scenario, and when logic didn't work on repeated occasions, I just quit returning his phone calls. -
I got yelled at by a driver once for missing his surprise birthday party. He just went on and on and on about how I screwed him. He forgot the part where I got him home on the day he requested, and how he would have been home the night before if he hadn't left his tarps at his shipper. 4 hours spent going back to pick up tarps, nice. Now that I'm older and wiser I can see how this was my fault as a dispatcher.

Some people just manufacturer an important event so they can throw a guilt trip for missing it... I've seen it happen too many times. Funny stuff... especially when you call them on it.
