Driver has the right to break the seal, but under extenuating circumstances, and should notify dispatch (like a. Dot roadside etc).

JIMDUCAN, if you check the FMCSA snapshot, M2 has 4 trucks & 4 drivers. It also states they started business on 3/14/2014

Actually, the company was notified of how this load was supposed to be handled.

"M2 Express had previously received a list of “Carrier Gaming Requirements’’ from our Company, expressly stating that all of these actions would be prohibited, and if anything unplanned occurred, that we must be contacted. So in summation, all rules were disregarded and no contact to advise us was ever attempted."

Looks like the carrier broke every rule that was required on this load.

They can, but to put it in LTL terms those 3 machines that may be a 1000 lb shipment now just became a truckload shipment, and would be reclassed accordingly, resulting in a massive increase in the freight charges.

The odd thing, to me, is why would the gaming commission would send only three machines on one large truck. I'm surprised that there wasn't an expediter outfit with the proper credentials and security to run three machines to where they needed to go.

From what I gather here they didn't want the machines to ride with any other shipments. That's fine, IF they wanna pay for that.

The first red flag is the company has only been in business since 12/21/2013. They list four drivers and four trucks with the DOT and they were recently added because the first report shows one truck.
Flag #2 I'm kind of leary of a company that lists their business address as a fancy house in a residential area. If they have that much money they can afford a shop. With a one car driveway I don't even see where they could park the trucks.

I see it as a new company that is still learning. They probably hired drivers off craigslist.

It took me just two minutes to find that info. I suggest you do the same when you want sensitive freight hauled. Like others said you got what you paid for.

Cross referencing their phone number led me to this...

It sounds like the owner has knowledge to alter them machines. You better have them checked out good. :)

Being called M2 Express Llc I wonder if their truck is a Freightliner M2 which is a box truck. That would make more sense for such a small load.

All this talk of honest and integrity and the casinos control the level of payout on these slot machines! :biggrin_25522:

I saw TV. crime show where crooks got a close look at some slots then went on to steal a/lot of money from the big boys.

Their other page only has one truck listed, odd.
