There is alot more coordination that goes into getting ur trailer loaded full of goodies, than what meets the eyes...a process that can never be appreciated as a company driver because u dont see all the angles and departments it takes to move and coordinate just one load. So u unloaded friday and didnt get a load til wednesday.. But monday was a holiday..... Even if ur company finds brokered loads , well it was a 3 day weekend... and its always hard finding stuff on the first day of the week because most of that stuff is brokered out on friday... they found u a load when there was one that paid enough to the truck and trailer and company... its tough out there right now... its part of the business... even know as a company driver getting paid by the mile u need to be turning miles... u have to understand the trucking company still needs to make a profit and that means putting profitable freight in the back of ur trailer ... which alot of companies are having trouble with right now...

To the post of the AC Mack. AC is the model #. It doesnt mean it had AC grin
Yes I know what they are. Some one sold me one in Oregon around 1986 for $200. Alas the engine had froze and the cylinders were junk.
There is even a AC here in Maine over in Hulls Cove. Alas the owner has no interest in anything other than letting it and several steam type double windlass donkey engines turning into piles of rust -
A company I had already left , actually moved and the o/o found out Monday. To the o/p , might be because it is slow business wise now.

I’m actually kind of impressed that there hasn’t been more news of like midsize companies shutting down by now or going bankrupt.
I talk to several other drivers out there and I think it’s dependent on the company you work for. One of my buddies, they’re cracking the whip and he can’t run hard enough to keep up with it. Another works for a midsize And he sitting over half the week in total. Getting about 1500 to 2000 miles a week if he’s lucky.
so i guess it just depends who you work for.Ffx95 Thanks this. -
