You are right. It's the drivers that ruined it. As for the leasing that is a super trucker story. They own that property and the manager has final say.

3k to remove a boot ........? I blame the property owner who’s probably getting a kickback and the crap towing company.

And that driver probably wasn’t the sharpest knife in the draw.

Then your brother is mistaken. Walmart owns all their properties. They even have a real estate division to re-purpose their old stores. They bring in the small store, then as demand grows they open a super and then sell off their old property. Google is your friend. :D

How does that work in a strip mall where Walmart is an anchor attached to the rest of the buildings?

usually they own that strip mall. Also it is very very rare you see a walmart in a big strip mall. They're usually in a small 2-3 store front. Those other 2 companies lease from them.

The two near where I live are leased through a property owner. One's in an indoor mall at the end, and the other is in a strip mall with a grocery store at the other end. It's not uncommon.

I know Wal-Mart doesn't need our business but it would be nice if they had maybe 10 monitored, designated truck spots with trash cans and a time limit, say 2 hours? This way one wouldn't have to worry about being booted when they run in for groceries, a prescription, other supplies. Their parking lots usually seem pretty huge, put us around back if they have to. I try to spend as little as possible when I'm out but sometimes something comes up, especially when I got sick one time and needed a prescription filled.
