holley cow, i understand new people want to work by the book, i understand, BUT in the real world after school, you throw the text book away and learn again, you only log (15 min. for fuel), (15 min. for pre-trip) (you unload 15min.) the rest of your time is off duty, or you shoot your self in the foot, (this is what experience drivers do) we drive, we make money, and don't forget the crayons, when you get those e-logs you won't be logging i scan the papers anymore on line 4, if YENS can hang in there till i get there (columbus terminal) end of april i'll teach ya

I just used the most familiar name. -
Yeah, I was in the Gustav and Ike relief. Not just helping, but busting the logbook legally was enjoyable. I left Galvaston with the nightmare Ike evacuation, went to IA and picked up a load of pork and straight back to Houston with the returning flock of 4 wheelers. The cold storage whse was running on a generator and it took a long time to get unloaded. But the sleep was welcome.
Gustav, I took a load of ice and was very welcome when I got there. They had long lines and had run out of ice. The people were mad. But I talked with several reefer drivers on the way. We had a wave of trucks arrive about the same time. Ice problem solved.
The other thing about scanning... that was the only good thing about dropping in the yellow box. You could write in your own time stamp and I would usually correspond it with a fuel stop. Never flagged one as it's too short to log. But they seen I was at such and such a place at such and such time. -
