I got a citation for driving in the left lane in a 3 lane interstate in Pennsylvania. Yes the first lane was busy cars, middle lane had a slow poke driver old truck going 48 in a 55 so I passed him to my left at 58 ish and the motorcycle cop pulled me over for driving in the left lane where CMV are not to be. On the citation he wrote what I did but he put me down for Unlawful activities / Vehicle Code title 75 section 4107 B-2. He said it would not affect my CSA score, it could have added 10pts CSA score if he wanted write me up specific title codes for being on that left lane. Anyways this is my first offense it’s a fine I can pay it over the phone he said. Should I tell my company about this ?

This sucks , all I wanted was to pass slower driver middle lane no point of being on the left when your truck is governed at 65 mph.
-
So, the truck in front of you was breaking the law.
And you felt it necessary to break the law around him. 2 wrongs don't make a right.
Slower traffic to the right. But truck feel it important to impede the flow of traffic.
No trucks in left lane. Learn to read the signs.
Unless he gave you a csa inspection. You have nothing to worry about with your traffic citation.Scoot 1971 and Danny707 Thank this. -
As for the op, none of us know your company policy. You will have to tell them come start of the year, but before the yearly thing that's required that's between you and your company.Danny707 Thanks this. -
Got a warning ticket I SC for a,illegal u turn how many csa points does that carry thanks
-
Inspection or not???^^^^
Moving tickets are driver license. Not csa unless there's an inspection. And since you got a warning.
Consider that a slap on the hand. -
Found this thread while looking for an answer to my situation. Any help will be appreciated.
I was given a “warning” and a “level 3-driver only” inspection for exceeding the speed limit at 10 mph over. (65 in a 55) Only violation found was speeding.
Does anyone know if this will impact my company’s CSA score? Was given a long form that didn’t require my signature or my company’s reply to the state. -
InterstateRunner Thanks this.

You cant fight a warning ticket and yes it goes on your record.
Found that out myself , a warning ticket can do just as much damage , short of putting points on your cdl.InterstateRunner Thanks this.
