If you skip a pee test it's like peeing dirty in my book. If you still have a trucking job after that I would be on my knees praying and going to church every Sunday for life

A lot of people are ignorant about the oilfields. When its hitting hard 3 - 4k a week easy COMPANY driver. Mancamps are like college dorms that have room service and food included lol. I made more in 1 year oilfields then 2 in ltl. Oilfield is easy money man.

Having never done oilfield, I won't doubt you. But I find it very suspicious that the OP supposedly waited until he was just about to take a whiz quiz and then "SUDDENLY" realized that he couldn't take the pay cut.

    Yeah, no. Something smells there.

Stranger things have happened, but why did you wait until you were actually sitting IN the drug testing facility, to finally "put pen to pad" and crunch the numbers? Seems a bit out of order if you ask me. Secondly, I'm not sure what the consequences will be, but the places that I've drug tested at all have a sign stating in bold letters "if you sign in to take a drug test and leave before the test is completed, it will be considered a REFUSAL." So I have no idea if that doesn't count towards "pre-employment" drug tests, but I don't see why it wouldn't. A drug test is a drug test, whether it's pre-employment, random or whatever else. But I've been wrong in my 30 years a time or two, so I could yet again, be wrong. But instead of second guessing it, I would of either just followed through with the test, and let the company know you ran the numbers and it's not going to work (although they'd probably wonder why you waited until that point to actually run said numbers) or specifically asked the staff if there would be repercussions. Did you do that? Or did you just ghost them and disappear before it was your turn?

It does sound crazy, believe me I thought I screwed up but after several discussions with the TM,who is a great guy we actually came to an agreement on direction of my future with them,i took drug test couple days ago and will start this week with them. After 17 years in oilfields working crazy hours it's time to relax a bit,if it doesn't work out I can always go back.

Well, you can hardly blame us for thinking the whole thing sounded a little off, but congratulations! Welcome to the world of LTL!! :D
