Was I in error?

Boy the "always the truckers fault" runs rampant thru these halls.

 

Most importantly to not hurt anyone right? Which is exactly what happened.
I'd praise the rookie for not rear ending someone. And for not letting a road raged driver decide the outcome of a situation.

At no time was I indecisive.

The constable seemed to be a good guy. The editor at the local newspaper bragged about his honestly. But, with that said, you still might be right.

Also, put yourself in the cops place at that moment. You're changing lanes behind a semi-truck. Before you're barely halfway into the right lane, you notice the semi also changing lanes in front of you.
Do you:
A. Allow him to complete his lane change.
B. Speed up and try to cut him off.

Keep in mind, I was already into my merge (over the dotted line) when he gassed on it.

 

It was already decided. You were at fault.
There might have been other parties at fault, but that doesn't matter.

BTW, good on you for following up on the whole deal.

otherwise he'd have stuck around & called a local or a DPS officer to cite me.

He knew what he was doing. Both times.

 

How come in posting number one, you are...."rich_t" and now you are "hrdman2luv"..??

aren't we are only supposed to have one account...???????

 

rich_t copied the incident from the politics forum and brought it over to the experienced driver forum for some "experienced critique" to get a different group for comments. In politics the thread is "##### Cops". hardman is the actual driver who had the incident.

Another lie.....in the dauym cops thread thread you said the cop was 1/2 way into the other lane , and you were 1/4 way into the other lane....now in rich's thread you say again in another post 35 , you say the right lane was clear to move into....lane how in the world is it that lane clear , if the cop was already 1/2 way into it.....

guess your fingers forgot what you typed.....or.......you meant something else.....again.

 

Nope , since he was trying to show Hrdman , that someone else besides me and rich think his decisions were wrong .....and it proved just that....now lanes attempting to "explain it away again'
