Had a delivery at S.P.T. Distribution in Topeka,KS at 8:30am called the company and spoke with the receptionist Natalie, because my gps and Google maps were leading me to the wrong address. When I called Natalie for the directions, she was very rude and even called me a ####### before hanging up. Anyway got to the location 15min ahead of my scheduled time parking on the west side of the building, like Natalie told me to do and went in to check in. At the west side driver check in, there was Natalie proceeding to say, " I told you to go to the north side!!" Got in my truck, got turned around, went in and here comes Natalie. I give her my paperwork and she tells me, " you unload on the west side, like I told you!!" I guess this ####### is just dumbfounded

Well, the easiest solution to that is to quit being a #######!:biggrin_25522:

    :biggrin_25525: :biggrin_2559:

Or, you can just look at it realistically. Just WHO was being the ####### there? If your post is correct, it was NOT you!

OBTW, I see this is your first post. Welcome to the forum! :yes2557:

In this day and age, I just laugh it off. Some people.........well, actually many people are just grumpy angry lunatic ##### who's lives apparently suck so bad they have to take out their frustrations on others. When they do stuff like that, it says much more about them than it does about you. I try and be obnoxiously nice in return; it usually makes them more frustrated and confused.

You have to love it. Hey, I'm not the last driver that pissed you off. But they'll pass judgement and treat all like scum.

I had one one time, trying to check in, through the glass I watched her start to clean her desk, removed everything, wiped it down, then put everything back nice and tidy. I just held my patience and smiled. When she got done several minutes later, she opened the window, Can I help you?

Now what I was thinking, crawl through the window, flip the desk upside down and shove her head in the trash can.... :)

    The nerve of some people.

You get that anywhere though. Even truckers throw hissy's when someone made them mad and they take it out on someone else.

I wanted to add one trick I learned. Womanomics 101.

No matter what mood they are in or if they even look like a bulldog.... start talking about their nails and how pretty they are. They'll do a Uturn instantly and smile, hold their hands up and admire their own nails, then treat you nicely. ;)

I use to carry snickers bars with me. Would hand it thru with the paperwork. When she asked what it was for, I'd respond, "To make up for the last jerk that ruined your day. We're not all like that."
Usually I would get a smile and taken care of right away.

Hmm, think I like the last suggestion better. It's hard to complement a dog who is obviously OTR. (and I DON'T mean over the road.) But I could see giving them a candy bar to try to sweeten them up a bit.

Hell, I might not even have laced it with Ex-Lax. . .:biggrin_25526:
