From what I have heard from most companies basically if you live in Michigan or Florida like I do, your SCREWED!
Ok, so far from what i have gathered, some of the firings at TMC are uncalled for, but it seems like they changed their boundaries without telling anyone and they seem to be the people being cut are from michigan------it so bad, they should at least give a heads up on this whole situation----- would we consider this a re-structuring or just a rash cut of jobs in areas that are farther from their customers Peterbilt79
I know you, your Jared's buddy. I gave Jared a ride home from orientation. We both thought we had jobs until today when they fired us both for living outside their new hiring area.
What ??????? Your kidding me !!!???? He was only with my ex-trainer for, what, 4 days ??? I'm sorry, fellas ... but my blood is boiling. I hate to come off melodramatic ... but this is pure bull****. I'll call J tonight. Thanks Trucker Josh. I really sorry to hear about your misfortune ... I truly am. Best of luck to you in your future endeavors though, bro.
Yeah, my heart really goes out to you, Eckz. You seemed to have gotten the worst of it compared to the rest of us here. Best of luck to you too, sir. Man ... times are tough.
Yeah. I'm thoroughly dissapointed right now. After all the time i spent defending their idiocy I'm one of the first to get the old axe
You know what? You guys are all better off, anyway. Theres no life out there on the road. I'm home now and my family loves it. We're getting along great, I'm spending time with my daughter who's missed me for the last 3.5 years and making up for lost time. Being on that dedicated was nice, but on some days when it came right down too it i would've gotten more sleep if i wouldve just stayed in the truck for the night instead of making the drive home. My advice? Find something else altogether. There is too much BS in it now a days. You don't have any freedoms, unreasonable stop and seizure doesn't exist, no right to bare arms, no rights when it comes to having your equipment searched. I always thought it was hilarious that while my truck was getting a level 1 inspection i'd see 4 or 5 fourwheelers go by with no working taillights, etc. That probably caused an accident a mile or two up the road while they were going over my equipment with a fine tooth comb. It's never going to change, only get worse. Maybe this is for the best. Personally i'm out looking for an office job, doing something with computers which has been my passion since i was about 9 years old anyways. Hopefully i can find something this time around. Good luck to all of you, hard times right now that's for sure -- especially here in Michigan.

Also following too close is a fireabl offense for a newbie you need too keep your space between vehicles tailgaiting doesnt work with semis. Good luck with your job searching but you might be better off workng at walmart.
