When you're 37 ton empty... then you're getting into heavy haul.

This OP posts about every job he may or may not take, how every employer wants him but he needs big bucks before he'll consider it... I'm just gonna grab the popcorn and watch this thread...

Take it man sounds like a trash hauling gig if your talking about walking floors. How many axle set up is it. I know the guys with R permits in ny can run 120k on 7 axles

I haul stone for the local quarries around rochester, ny. Our setups are good for 117k but I don't consider it heavy haul by any stretch of the imagination.

The devil is in the details... pay, hours, start times, safety record, benefits, opinions of other drivers that work or have worked there and so on

It's not heavy haul. Sorry, but if you're rated at 37 ton max. Heavy haul isn't till you get over 130k imho. Most flats are rated at 30 and 35 ton

Some people are just malcontents. He could take the job and in 3 weeks we'd be hearing how terrible and unsafe it is. And people would be co signing him. I don't get it

they call it heavy haul because the trucks are 108-110K. he said he would have to provide training. starting pay $14.50. that's why i didnt jump all over it. its actually $1 less per hour then i make driving class B.

it is a walking floor trailer hauling woodchips and mulch. he said the start hours can be as early as 3AM. really a little early.

we also had a conversation while driving. he asked me what i did for a living in the past. i told him i worked in milk plants. when i told him what plant i worked at, he said he was cousin to the rotten woman that caught me vaping and ratted me out. i hate that woman with all my soul. she was one of the most mean, rotten, vindictive people i have ever dealt with. he asked me what i thought about her. i told him i would rather not talk about it. this idiot plant i worked for changed their stupid "tobacco policy" 3 times to the point i couldnt even vape in my car. they left me by myself every afternoon. this woman (his cousin) caught me once while i was the only person on the premises and she promptly ratted me out to the general manager. no written warning, verbal warning, or suspension. YOUR FIRED. the day i returned from vacation in the parking lot told to go home.

i HATE that woman and probably would be better off never having anything to do with her or her family. i really wish he didnt admit that they were cousins. automatic turn off for me.
