The vehicle with the web cam: 1), appears to be exceeding the flow of traffic. 2), not waiting for a vehicle to exit their lane before driver begins passing vehicle where two vehicle are side by side each other within the same lane. 3), driving over the solid yellow line 4), aggressive driving.

(myself, i would of pulled you over and checked to see if you had been drinking or under the influence of a drug...while citing you for: careless & reckless driving.)

    OK.

TIP #1 - wait for the vehicle to completely leave the lane before passing him. You never know.

Its 4am. He may be tired. so he zoned out and as he was moving into the right lane he mistook the flashers of the other vehicle as a blinker and aborted the lane change. Nobody is telling you to drive under the speed limit. Personally I like when you 4 wheelers drive fast cause you get the hell away from me. Just be smart about it.

There's a difference between "going with the flow of traffic" and taking up residence in the hammer lane and riding other vehicles' bumpers, flashing, honking, and passing people that haven't even had a chance to move out of your way yet, as if you literally think you own the road.

YOU are the kind of driver I can spot a good distance away, and avoid like the plague.

You didn't hit your high beams because he was moving back to the left, as you stated, you hit them just shortly after he started making the lane change to the right and it looks to me like you did that because he wasn't moving fast enough for you. In other words, you were being impatient and aggressive, so, in my opinion, the driver of the straight truck was less in the wrong than you were.

Correct I was impatient. I should have waited for him to completely cleanly move into the center. I probably should NOT have flashed him.

I still don't see how that justified him intentionally trying to run me off the road with him much bigger truck at the very last possible moment. No one really believes he didn't know where I was. Yet he still completely moved back into the left lane after my bright lights were on and I honked to let him where I was. He never paused, reversed course or had any signs of hesitation. I didn't honk until after he started swerving back while I was almost going parallel to him.

While I don't think he was intentionally trying to cause any accident (not until I used my headlights anyway) I do feel from the very beginning he didn't want me to pass him at all. I never tailgated him nor did I close him with any excessive delta-V. I had already slowed down before approaching him, realizing he was going much slower, and decided to shift to the right into the center lane in order to pass him, I signaled to shift into the center lane, he started signaling too. But didn't make a move for several seconds, then I thought perhaps he wanted to wait until I got in front of him (some trucks do that) so I started to move to the center, but the very moment I started to move, he starts moving to the center as well. So I thought fine, great in fact, that clears up the left lane for the passing lane for myself and potentially others. As you can see in the still image above, I only speed up to pass him after it was obvious he was almost entirely into the center lane and infact was going to be imminently be entirely in the center lane - had he not decided to swerve back into the left lane, without signalling (in fact signaling the exact opposite) while knowing I was there, and this time without seemingly waiting a good five seconds before making the move.

From all the facts above, I believe my using the bright lights is what set him off. I don't think a compact car using bright lights is justification for a much bigger truck to run said car off the road.

How do you really know what that drivers intent was. It could have been a first time driver of that straight truck. He may have heard your horn and thought he was turning into someone. Point is you have no idea.

I see this type of driving way to often. Way to aggressive, its only a matter of time until you get into a serious accident.
Maintain about 5 seconds between you and the vehicle in front, so what if somebody pulls in front of you, back off more.

Do you best to not aggravate other drivers, i.e. no high beams.

When you come up on somebody that's not driving correctly stay further away.

As others have mentioned allready, you need to adjust your mindset, or it's going to end to be a day.

well clint was technically wrong when he put the punk to the challenge, but after it was all said and done, the world was a better place. Had the 6 wheeler rolled you up into a ball, the same would probably apply.

    disconnect your bright light switch.

seriosly, I forget about this crap 2 minutes after it happens

The box truck has a lot more going on than you do. He is worried about traffic to his right in blind spots. You compounded that by signaling right, left and flashing your lights. He also has a pick up in front that you cannot see with 4 way flashers on. That often means stopped traffic. Your flashing high beams could be interpreted by him that its safe to come back over. Honestly you made more mistakes than he did and I don't think his moves were malicious towards you. I can't say it enough

The video cam is in a compact car not a big truck.
