Yes you're right, but the fact you started to encroach on home BEFORE he was 100% clear of the lane makes this totally preventable on your part.
The fact that he moved back to the left is irrelevant, it was still his lane until he clears it. All I see here is an early morning commuter who is in too much of a hurry to let a vehicle safely exit the lane. Like others have said, you could not see what was going on ahead of or next to this vehicle, but you still encroached on him before he was safely out of the lane. Any good lawyer would use that video to hang you out to dry.
Also, that's not a Porsche he's driving, moving slowly (in your opinion) back into the center lane isn't a bad thing. The high center of gravity of ANY commercial vehicle makes it a very bad idea to make abrupt lane changes.
Was this trucker in the wrong?

TIP #2
stop insisting he ran you off the road on purpose and focus on your mistakes. Defensive driving means anticipating worse case scenerios. Had you backed off and been patient this never happens. You would have lost about 11 seconds.Wild Murphy, Tonythetruckerdude and Joetro Thank this. -
More often than you may think, lane changes are aborted. At night, often due to debri in the road that does not enter the driver's vision until well into the lane change. Also, it is appropriate to signal for a few seconds Before starting a lane change. The reaction time and maneuver times for trucks is much slower than a car. Just back off and let trucks Complete their maneuver and you will live longer. Using your high beams behind another vehicle is Aggressive Driving and is against the law.

Op was obviously distracted waiting for Keira and Harvey to do the horizontal tango

you were being a inpatient ####### that's why it happened. but the small box truck was in the wrong.
also never high beam someone like that you can blind them threw the mirror and is considered aggressive driving. -
I didn't see where he was in the wrong. Looks like he saw you approaching and put his signal on and started moving over. Halfway through you high beamed him. His gesture of coming back over on you looks to be his way of saying ##.

Any response to your CB call? I know you did make that call, right, Aeon? I agree with the drivers who are telling you to back off, let it come to you instead of forcing the issue. You never know why or what the other driver is doing, going to do, or about to do. I mean, all day every day we get into these strange and unpredictable situations. Take it easy, best way to go about it.

THE DRIVER WAS PROBABLY SCARED AND FLUNG BACK INTO HIS ORIGINAL LANE THINKING HE WAS ABOUT TO CRASH. ALL HE SAW WAS BRIGHT HIGH BEAMs, NOT WHICH LANE THEY WHERE COMING FROM.
