On the one hand, anyone who celebrates passing a drug test by taking a drug probably shouldn't ever be let into any kind of job where people's lives may be at stake. On the other hand, did he already take the new test? If so, how much time was there between his last use and the test? If not, how long until they retest?
Was wondering.

Did he not realize that he could be tested at ANYTIME? A lot of the larger companies now require hair samples shortly after orientation just because of people like your brother-in-law. I hope he is working for a PRIME, SWIFT or CR ENGLAND. At least then I know he won't be out on the road long.

I wouldn't demonize someone for what they do in their spare time, but this industry does not forgive failure. There is a small percentile that make a decent living at the top. The rest are better off working two jobs. For most new guys they are making less than minimum wage working 70 hours a week and never home. Fail a drug test or have a record, ie, tickets or felony and you'll never even see minimum wage. -
No offense but good he was a danger otr as a driver. He quit western before being fired for going 500 miles out of route multiple times blaming them. Then went to us truck where he forced a car off the road during his road test and backed into a trailer same test came home did a whole bunch of drugs. Called me highly intoxicated told me he was on his way to swift to pick his truck up and deliver a load while high and drunk I called swift and reported it we dont need anymore bad pubilcity I would also feel responsible if he killed someone.
