dont know, HAVE YOU SEEN THE PEOPLE THEY ARE HIRING? if so HOW? they lost boeing because there was a rollover with a rookie o/o team driver and TMC had to buy 3 jet engines. but ECKZ you know EVERYTHING. so give me details. by the way take a spelling class, sure would make it alot easier. . mr annett is dealing with company trucks which are his trucks so he can do whatever he wants with them. he is not stupid, considering the fact that he started with 6 trucks in 1972, now how many trucks are there? try 2913 trucks and 3670 trailers? and he owns 2757 trucks with 3543 owned trailers. so who knows more? obviously not you. for 1 am not opposed to 62. just so YOU know PRIME is TMCs biggest competition which has their trucks set at 61, which i DO NOT AGREE WITH,but if im paying for the truck it WILL go as FAST AS I WANT there are a more than a few company trucks at PRIME. but if PRIME continues to buy companies at the rate that they are, none of us will have a choice but to drive for PRIME INC. HOWS THAT FOR FACTS?

Holy cow ...TMC is being bought by PRIME INC, who woulda thought...

If the all mighty insider strnspeed said it, then it most definetly must be true.

Thanks for the valuable info strnspeed, we all could only wish we had your knowledge and the insider info you are able to give this board.

Thank the lord you are everything TMC!! We must all bow to strnspeed for his incredulous wisdom... :biggrin_25514::biggrin_25514::biggrin_25514::biggrin_25514::biggrin_25514::biggrin_25514::biggrin_25514:

Yes I have. I am actually starting to believe that you are one of them... What did i spell wrong? I just went through that entire post and found nothing, please, elaborate.. Truck driver / English professor, wow, what can't this guy do, huh?

Seriously, are you slow? I'm not sure why you would mention this an then act like you were throwing it in my face when you are actually just proving that i was correct, so, would TMC have lost Boeing if that diddn't happen? Why would you even bring that up in a tone as if you were arguing with me while making the same point i just made? I don't get it.. By the way there was more than just that one rollover, there was also guys who were attempting to chain down things that weren't supposed to be chained, lots of stuff was broken, scraped, etc. On more than one occasion, by more than one driver. But yes, the instance you brought up did happen as well.

Prime, huh? Odd... Find that hard to believe, but I don't have anything to refute you with, so I'll just say something generic like.. "Interesting"...

Ok I'm just wondering...Whats the difference between 62 & 61 that you would not oppose one but are against the other...

Oh yea, 1 mile an hour...makes total sense now nevermind...silly me...:biggrin_25523:

I drove a Columbia once, swore I'd never drive one again. my Pete is built much better and rides a lot nicer, at the end of the day it's just not as fatiguing to drive. sometimes when I'm in supertrucker mode, and safety is not watching our hours, I can turn 700-800 miles a day and not really even feel that tired when I'm done.

poorly engineered, something about not being able to blink the headlights separate from the marker lights, or the window crank being down by the floor. haven't been in a Cascadia so I can't speak for them, but I don't really like a wide cab.

What happened, was the contract with Boeing stipulated that their loads would be hauled by drivers with at least 5 years experience. Yellowstone only hires drivers with 5 years plus experience. For some reason, TMC had a Yellowstone driver pick up the load and an inexperienced TMC driver repowered it.

This is what I heard through the rumor mill long ago. I cannot verify it's truth, but it sounds entirely believable. I don't know the circumstances of the repower. Maybe the Yellowstone driver couln't deliver for some reason and another wasn't available or maybe TMC was trying to save some money, who knows. It was a big mistake, regardless of their reasons.

are jet engines a top heavy load? sounds like something you'd def want to call safety on as far as securement.

Not sure to be honest, I've hauled peices of jet engines out of there, but never an entire engine.. By the way that they look i imagine you'd have a very tall heavy load right in the center of your trailer, reminds me of a locomotive engine i hauled once.. that was fun.. paid well, too.
