I dont know anything about waste management but I did a short stint with BFI back in 94 started as a slinger then did commercial rearload just landed a sweet roll-off/pup bid and we lost the city contract ..I was offered transfer but I was young and didnt want to leave the area...had they not lost the contract I may have still been with them...BFI was a great place run bu great people( back in the day)..people can say what they want about (garbagemen) its a great paying and enjoyable gig...

I believe a lot of the WM facilities down here around Wash. Pa are hiring non-experienced drivers, our local facility is offering a 1,000 dollar sign on bonus, it was 2K when I moved up here about 6 months ago, and they're always hiring, literally ALWAYS. Also look in to water hauling outfits, I know a lot of them down in Texas hire with no experience, not sure how it works up here in PA but there is a lot of frac water/fresh water to be hauled and the pay is pretty #### good.

If you have 2 legs you can chase the rear load truck! Great job for parolees.
Front loaders start early around midnight or 1.
Roll-off starts early if you have to dump yesterday's last pickup.
Rear load starts early too.
I hope y'all like waking up to an alarm clock. I prefer the sun waking me up. -
Guys,i keep tellin' myself that if nobody recommends me they would not hire me.Literally I applied for pretty much every opening they had on a 50 miles radius.I have experience with straight truck, dry van, right now I am driving an enclosed car carrier from LA to east coast and back.I really want to work for them mostly because I want a local job, tired of OTR.Anyways I am gonna apply until they will get tired and will say,Ok let's see this guy

Ok,so i applied for a residential driver here (actually i applied for pretty much every deriver position that was in a 40 mile radius last 6 months),yesterday they called me back, asked me a lot of questions, after like 20 min the guy told me that he is glad to tell me that I was selected for an interview, but they don't have appointments rght now,so somebody will call me back to schedule an appointment.I don't even know if this is a good sign or not?
