I love my dog, she's a minature pincher.Well trained,an groomed. She's my best friend.I kept the truck cleaner, when i did have a pet in it.Ive been on my knee's using duct tape to pick up dirt on the carpet;or when i had a truck with a rubber mat(i like thows better)used antibacterial wipes on the floor.Im obsessive about keepin her clean. And A clean truck doesnt smell.Im looking to buy my own truck.Been trucking for 25years,dont like the way these's companies treat the drivers,+doing away with the pet policies.

Dosen't sound like the issue has anything to do with pets, smokers or anything else but being late.

If you seriously want to take them to court, you'll need to drop the pet issue ... as it is non sequitur.

BTW, since they own the truck - they can just tell you you can't have pets - they wouldn't bother to "grandfather" the issue.

    Good luck! :biggrin_25525:

I would run very far away. I applied and was talking to their recruiters about joining as an owner-operator. The first recruiter I talked to (Sandy) said that everything sounded good and that I need to talk to Phil who would be able to give me details on their lease and pay. He called me back and then says that because of my criminal record (2 felonies 16 years ago and a few misdemeanors) I wouldn't be considered. I told him that Sandy said it wouldn't be a problem, so he puts me on hold and says that she would "try" to push it through but that there's a 3-month wait on lease-purchase trucks. I told him I'm not interested in lease-purchase and he said that I would have to buy my truck from their company. I told him "not in this lifetime", but I imagine that's the answer he wanted to hear in the first place.

The current employees should request a union vote and ask the IBT to represent them. I hear and read the same sorry stories all of the time concerning the non-union TL freight industry...:biggrin_25516:
