Water pump or radiator question.

I can post pictures if nessacary,

On the hose connected from the water pump to the radiator. It's rubber off of the pump then metal then rubber again at the radiator.

A couple weeks ago, I noticed what I thought to be a rust color leak where the radiator rubber hose meet the medal one. I couldn't con from this at that time do to another leak leaking down to it.
Ive since keep it clean at that connection and tight. Before I make a big mess trying to figure out which component is it, is there any tips or tricks to isolating it, or can antifreeze take on a rust color and not affect the rest of it?
To date the reservoir antifreeze thats visible is still normal color, thats why I ruled out the egr cooler as the mistry leak.

 

P.s. my buddy thinks it might be the pipe
