Well, you know how it is, hijacking a thread is a tiring business. :biggrin_25518: I'm not as young as I used to be. I need to save my energy for training

In all seriousness, I got so much good info from your thread that I wanted to give back a little and hopefully get some good info of my own out to the newbs here

Well then, it was most definitely worth it...

    /begin thread hijack

So, on the dorm front, do you have to cook all your own meals there? Is there someplace to get coffee and something to eat in the morning so I don't have to get up extra early to cook? Also lunch breaks, same thing, is there some way to grab something quick and easy someplace? Thanks again man...

    /end thread hijack

Well it's not a thread hijack if you're asking a question about the schooling. So you're ok this time, lol.

They have a fridge microwave stove etc, full kitchen basically. But keep in mind you have to share that with your fellow students and the fridge gets a bit full. There's a coffee maker here and usually someone makes a pot in the morning. For lunch, there's two cars reserved for the students to run around town and go to lunch. Lunch is 12pm-1pm and Reserve St. houses all the food joints, which is about 5 miles away. So just hop in the car for lunch with other students and there you go

... i think that may have been an asnine reply... to answer ur questions,
they have a company car for the students, nothing special, so dont get ur hopes up!, and u use the car to go shopping or go buy food to cook in the driver lounge, oven stove, micowave, friedge freezer, coffee maker, dishes, table chairs, couch, tv, dvd player(i think ), computer(old)(slow) they do have wifi tho!

Not asinine at all....I fully took it as tongue-in-cheek and appreciated the humor in it. I'm mostly worried about breakfast as I don't like to eat when I first get up, but I suppose I'll have to change that....just buy some stuff that is micro-ready and in 2 minutes, breakfast!

Luckily I won't have to mess with the old, slow computer (Windows prolly.. :pukeright: ) I'll have my ultra cool MacBook....just need to hook up the wifi!

Thanks for the well wishes wheels..we will just miss each other by a few days as I get there for the February training, but as I put somewhere around here...we will be out of the same home terminal, Santa Fe Springs, so maybe our paths will cross...

ya i think in a prev reply u said u lived off Vermont and 213th??, I am 190th and Hawthorne. I am still trying to figure out this forum setup -- I know u replied to me in a previous post but I cant seem to find an easy way to go back to my previuos stuff. Is there a notification link that should come up or is it just a matter of going to the cp and rpev. posts?
