Watkins Shepard 30-Day Training

I've already been in contact with a school on their recommended list. It is one I was already looking at before I found WS school. Thanks anyways for the offer of the list! I've already had the phone interview and am approved for hire once I finish my school. All I need to do is pass their HPE test, which is what you call the "stress test", and the drug screen....I have the criteria for the HPE test that Roxy emailed me if you want it. If you do, let me know and I'll PM you my email address, since it doesn't look like you have enough posts to give me your address..

 

I'm sittings at the airport waiting to board for my first leg to Detroit.

 

Hey Warp, Good luck and keeps up in the loop, I too have the HPE info Sandy emailed to me, they really want you to be successful. I am somewhat apprehensive about the downshift on the downhill after reading all the banter on the WS then and now stream, But I am going to really press my school instructors with questions and examples I have learned from this site. I thought I knew alittle something about a truck...... Thanks to those who take the time to post helpful info on this site I gratefully realize I don't know Bubkis, Nothing, Nadda! But I am learning and I think for the rest of my career I will keep learning.

Ya that was some interesting reading, Made me double think myself, that's the last thing the school I am just finishing will teach us. But after reading the procedure that a couple people posted ie: dropping to 1000 rpm and slight gas up 600 rpm's with pressure on brake and hold g shifter to move it into next lowest gear when the rpm's sink with the gears. As per lynchmobs training posts. I feel I can do that with a little practice.

 

To anyone who hasn't read it. Lynchmobs gave very detailed posts in a previous post. I would suggest reading through it. It has ALOT of good info.

 

Warpd. Did they say why they stopped the school?

The executive that called me, Matt, said "economic reasons", whatever that means...prolly spending too much on teachers and maybe not enough people going to school...hard to imagine losing money on people spending $4695 each for a month....

But, I am keeping my head up and thinking positive that this is happening for a reason.

 

That's a good frame of mind to keep. Stay positive. Hopefully the 10 day classes haven't been effected. I called today but no answer. I guess they are closed Saturdays
