Doesn't W&S have a flatbed division?
-
They do, I was on it for 4 months or so. I really enjoyed the environment and the kinda of freight we ran, but I was starving for miles. A 3-4 day layover between loads was pretty normal. If they ran percentage pay instead of mileage I could have done pretty well. I still debate going back as an owner op. as it stood to survive financially I had to go back to running vans which isn't where my heart is so I ended up moving onjomar68 Thanks this.

The new Volvo's are being built by Volvo, so brand new. The goal is to have all the OTR trucks 3 years or newer. We do have a flatbed division.
It's mainly all O/O running on percentage. -
Thank you for your response, are these the Volvo 780's?
-
They are 670's.

That's awesome that they are getting more new trucks. I drove for Watkins for about 14 months but had to leave about 6 months ago.. I am really missing being otr, so I am really considering returning to W/S. Hey WKSH recruiter, i'd just have to do the 3 day orientation right?
-
Yes on the three day with your experience.
FRG1735 Thanks this. -
Just a question. Why do OTR drivers get "new" (3 yrs and under) trucks? What's special with OTR. I run 2000 miles and 30 to 35 stops a week. I would love to have a new tractor with the I shift for the driving I do.

When will the pink daycabs be replaced??? Some of those trucks are older than the drivers!
