I got good drive time in. One hour of skills practice, but I still can't nail the alley dock. I think it's either a mental block or I'm not getting something. I'm hoping the latter. Mental blocks are painful.

ROTFLMTEO! I'm gonna go find it... but you're welcome to post here, as long as you tell me what's going on in class. :biggrin_25525:

in co you only need 2/3 of the truck in the box to pass the alley dock or something. and it doesnt have to be pretty. you should have seen mine, i did better on the others than i expected so i didnt even attempt to do it nicely. the instructor was like WTF but he still had to pass me. :biggrin_2559:

WOOT! I finally got one of the instructors to show me what I was doing wrong. It's still not easy, but at least I get it. I retest the skills portion and do my road test tomorrow... I could be a professional truck driver (although not yet employed) by tomorrow!

For everyone who has read here, posted here, encouraged me, and/or kicked my backside to get me back on track, THANK YOU. You all, Joe, and my mom are the only reason I've made it this far (although not necessarily in that order, lol).

Not sure I have much else to talk abou tonight. Going to try to go to bed early but, I gotta tell you, sleeping more than six hours in my van seems to be a lost cause. Guess it's not terrible if I'm up early, right?

Will update tomorrow... planning on using lots of smilies. :biggrin_25522:

I'm glad to hear your instructors were able to help you understand it. Good luck tomorrow and just think, before long you and Joe will be trucking on down the road together.
