What did you expect them to do Charter a Jet to take you home???


Unless your wife or kid just died there is no reason for them to make you top priority. If you have a "family emergency" they will do every thing they can to get you home asap, but they arent going to have you deadhead across the country because you kid is talking back to your wife and she wants you home to deal with it now.....


And if you've been here more then a minute you should know better then to go to Dalton for work....

also all freightliners leak water, and all detroits leak Oil...Get used to it

Yeah go to Sayerville to get work done as far as getting home for an emergency they dead headed me from Chy WY to SLC for a load to Sac to get me home. Not bad I thought.

 

Heck, they do everything they can just to get me home for hometime!...I'm home right now due to their extra efforts...I was a few miles from a terminal, which normally, you'd have to make a run from before they broker a load for you, but they helped me by getting me a brokered load right to my home!!!!!!!...

Hey, if they could please everyone they'd be a true anomaly in the industry, sorry to read they didn't do what you think they should have done, good luck in the future!...

 

They wanted you off the road , that's why they sent you home.

 

WS has to be a very good company to work for to have this many Drivers standing up for them. Unless it life or death no company can afford to send you across country asap. It's great to hear there are still some good company's out there!!!

 

Another "trucker story"....yep....must have heard this one atleast 5 times in the past 17 years. Just as boring and believable as the first time I heard it.

By the way; how do you guys know the OP was "clear across the country" when he asked to get home for an emergency? Also....how do you know WHAT the emergency was?
You realize, it only takes a solo driver 4 days to LEGALLY cross the country----what would substantiate an entire week from any point to any point?
And don't tell me that "not all freight moves just anywhere", because I know better....just takes a little effort in the dispatch office to get any driver to any location, provided they (company/trucks) are licensed to run any and all states.

Maybe the OP's "emergency" was bunk....maybe it wasn't---not enough information for you or me to make that call.....but I'm giving the OP the benefit of the doubt, because it HAS happened to me.....AND, I'm not here to kiss Watkins ###.

It's one thing to "praise" the company you drive for....it's another thing to think that they are incapable of screwing another driver just because YOU may be having a good experience with them.

Notice American-Trucker has a picture of his truck so clear and presice that you can make out the truck number? You honestly thing he's going to bad-mouth them knowing they can identify him at the drop of a hat (if it IS indeed his truck).
Nothing's ever what it seems to be on the surfface.

This is not a slam against W/S or anyone that works for them.....just seeing the forrest for the trees.

 

Clearly you arent following my blog.....I have posted everything, good AND bad about w/s. So have the rest of us. This aint swift the company doesnt have some spy sitting on here looking for drivers to fire

And they dont need to Identify ME or anyother W/S driver on here since they KNOW us by Our Real Name, they know what truck number we are in, AND they know are screen names on here We are not hideing from anything....thats why the pics are there.
