So just got off the line with a W/S recuiter. Cant remember her name, I'm horrible at that. She gave my a LOT of good info about schools and the company. I have a speeding ticket and a small fender bender which I was sweeting bullets over, turns out those were OK. All in all it was good, she didn't try to 'sell' me the company like some reciters have. I had questions she had answers. Hopefully ill be on my way to getting my CDL and hopefully working for W&S.

They just bought 30 Volvo's from Knight, so I have been told.
If you get hired now, you probably will get a Volvo.

You can call it thrifty or you can call it cheap. I prefer to call it Cheap.

Not a bad company but this is definitely their one falling down. The trucks run the gamut from lightly used and well taken care of to abused and neglected. Really a roll of the dice as to what you get as a company truck. Mine was constantly in the shop needing things repaired or replaced, and it kept me off the road at times. Many parts were replaced during my tenure to keep it on the road but it still had a bunch of crap wrong with it I could never seem to get any satisfaction on. Annoying stuff too. A/C no worky. Cruise control worked sporadically. Bunk heater quit on me...thankfully towards the tail end of winter but still. If you live in these things you want everything to work right, but oftentimes with old half beat trucks you just learn to live with stuff you shouldn't have to.

Mine was at the Volvo dealer in SLC for that long before I even pulled my first load with it. Radiator core was leaking and driver side headlamp was yellowed and oxidized so bad it was useless. Somebody crapped their pants when they found that repair bill in the trip envelope.:yes2557:

Anyone on this thread know how teams do with W/S? My wife and I are going to start teaming and we really like what we have heard about them so far.
