All of these guys are right. Learn the rpm splits and you'll do just fine. It was very fast paced and they do cram loads of info into your head but its worth it.
I actually just got hired today (at the Missoula terminal) and I've probably soaked up only 30% of what was taught.
Most important being log books, Qualcomm macros, shifting and saving fuel.
Last April they spent $100,000 in fuel, for just that month.
Lastly, I'd say just TAKE YOUR TIME. You aren't a professional, yet. You will definitely make mistakes. Just pay attention in class,take notes if you need to. The instructors at the Missoula terminal did an excellent job explaining everything and what they expect of you. Shout out to Rick, dude was a fool and kept class entertaining lol.
edit: yea.i think it might have been 100k a day.
