truthfuly nothing is flawless in life... dont get ahead of yourself while in class. i didnt go through the course in missoula, i did mine in nj, and from reading all the most about mark kelby and dick they are great trainers, youll be in the right place to get the proper training, and they will not hire you on if you cant shift, log, and back up.
saftey in the company is #1. good luck, keep us posted on how you make out.

Hello all:
I have read the last 10 pages or so. A few weeks ago, I read the thread; doing my homework. I start school on Monday and I am trying to figure this stuff out. What I have concluded is that W/S is better than Swift or Werner. And I have all ready ruled out Covenant.
Many questions, and please don't make me re-read this thread.
Denver is where I a located. But it seems the work is East Coast. So I guess I will be on the road for long periods - that is ok.
The biggest question is: Only 10 days training when many (if not all) the other companies have noobs out for 6-8 weeks with a trainer; is 10 days really enough? I have been around heavy equipment most of my life: graders, dozers, loaders, but doing 10 mph is really moving fast on these beast. 80K loads at 75 mph - can one be ready with only 10-days?
If W/S only moves furniture, in this economy, is there really enough people buying furniture to keep 500 drivers employed? It sounds like W/S needs to gain a few more accounts, staples, meats, something.
I will have more questions, like APU's, Idle Air, type of trucks, etc. But really want to know about the 10-day thing.
Thanks all. -
you can go and read 131 pages, and maybe find 1 person that did not like the 10 day idea. the trainers are very good at picking the good ones, and the bad ones out. trust me, they no what they are looking for.
80k and 75mph---
, more like 65.
--->
as far whats being pulled,
plants, milk,beer,wine,paper,carpet, the list can keep growing, we pull a lot of things,
as for the trucks, shakers and volvo's some have APU'S and some dont.
would get one as a neebe... you may or you may not,. governd at 65. all stand up condos,
and if your lucky, a dinner with me, after nawlins and danc
