S2B,
What terminal locations do they have in the Seattle area now?
Is it still just the Lakewood term ? -
Having seen noobs try to shift, I have a hard time imagining that WS is qualifying guys with loads on steep hills. I've seen guys that just - can't - get - it !
-
yeah dance its still lakewood, id tell you too look at w.s web page, but i think most of no how true everything on there is,
foxx, they have a trls at most terms where they do training that is loaded with cement blocks i think, and i may be wrong but total weight is around 79,xxx, +/- and theyll take u to a 6% and have you shift uphill, and have you shift down-hill
and a bit off track here, but i wish i had gone through w.s 10 day, or even the 30 day in missoula, cause they take you out on the snow covered highways and teach you how to drive in those conditions as well, -
"total weight is around 79,xxx, +/- and theyll take u to a 6% and have you shift uphill, and have you shift down-hill"
That is correct, S2B. I graduated from the 10 day in Missoula on May 29, got the hill shifting but not the adverse weather training.
And for anyone interested: 11,500 miles in the last four weeks. -
Wife and I went through the 30 day class, up and down shifting on 8% grades.
Saw plenty of the 10 day guys go out on at least a 6% grade and they put most of them on the road. The ones they didn't usually didn't make it that far.
Besides, a lot of our freight goes over the Grapevine, Vail, the grades on I-40 coming out of CA, Donner, 4th of July, etc. You can't not be able to drive a grade with this company. -
alright today was a day but thanks to wingrider and mike another guy in the 10 day it turned out to be better!! #### s2b thats cold brotha lmao ill tell him lol yeah coming up on day 9 im still here so i got to pray to budda jesus, jesus' and any other god i got im hoping i got the skills they want if i get on, s2b watch out im comin for ya lmao.... but today we did backing skills and doing those good ol' log book excercises, went over hasmat and qualcom either tomorrow or wednesday we'll do the hill shifting. wish me luch lmao
