Ive heard the same thing from a few of the new guys, guess thats the way it goes. If you think about it...its your education, why should someone else pay for it? Just my $.02
-
since now I guess, I specifically asked that question
-
man if u would of gave me ur 2 cents I might still be at watkins. Man are u ever going to stop acting like a cheerleader, I would accept that if they pay me for sitting .
Wow pay me for my education. -
I don't expect them to reimburse me if they treat me like a human being while I drive for them. Nothing in this life is guaranteed, I just want a good experience if I choose to spend my dime to attend their school and get hired by them.

JW your in the wrong industry to be treated like a human.
More like an 11 hour a day oiled machine. Go go gadget type ish. -

yeah, its around 4,000, not sure of the exact cost, but in that area i no that,
im still shoked...
if it helps any, you can go read treads about other companies that will put you through their schools, and compare them to watkins shepard, i would say it might be worth it to spend the money for their training, i dont think we have hit that " your just a number " here at watkins ***YET*** its still a smaller company, they say we have 7xx trucks , prob more like 500 +/-, i wonder why, maybe he was givin the wrong info, ill find out and let everyone know on monday, it just wouldnt make any sense, most newbs choose companies based on that. -
It's $4695.00 for the School, Sandy also said that if I made it through the school I would be offered a job with W/S. She said there was no tuition reimbursement. Also I would have to get my CA CDL Permit and a DOT Physical before ever going to MT, then I would have to do it over again in MT to take the Driving Test for my CDL, and then my first time home I would have to have it switched back to CA. I wonder if it would be any benefit to get into Missoula a day early and get a CDL Permit there to avoid paying it twice...maybe not because of hotel cost. The biggest hurdle now is getting together $5000.
