DT I can't rememberI suffer from halftimers) and I have slept since then, I just basically wanted to touch base with one of the guys running the roads, He assured me that this is the best decision for me if I don't want a trainer.. I think mostly that they are a true driver oriented company, They deliver what they say, They are not a driver mill making $$ on the drivers they turn into "Super Truckers" They don't push the fleece(L/O) to all who comes thru, If they would get the type of truck that I want I would go to an O/O in a minute with them, I have been looking around and see great things with their O/O program one being I think JMHO that the O/O's get the best runs? I don't know that for sure but I would guess that to be the case.. It from my understanding has its own dispatcher as well as the teams side has its own dispatch. I am still impressed with the fact that they trust a driver after the training to go do what they have learned to do. Just my thoughts. TD.

(I was at the hospital when you called today then we all came home and crashed)

watkins shepard does NOT...NOT....NOT...NOTTT have a lease program for anyone in the company.... they dont... at all.... all teams and o.o and company vans have the same dispacth... not their own... the flatbed drivers have their own dispacth.. thats all...
if the trainers in missoula or conover dont feel as tho you can do the job safe you wont get hired on here...

Treydavid, I drive for Crete and if WS is buying some of the Century's then you all are getting some good trucks. Cosmetically the paint might be oxidized, but mechanically they are very well taken care of. Our A service, oil and filter changes are 15K and B services are 30K.

We are and have been buying Prostars and some of the new Cascadias. The Prostars are real nice trucks, don't have any personal feedback on the Cascadias.

Right now we are hiring and freight is strong, so that's a dang good thing.

I do have a couple of questions will i get to bring my truck home or will i leave it in the indy terminal when i am home and also i was wondering after the 10 orientation how long is it before you get home to pick up some things that you couldn't get on the bus?

I responded to your question on facebook, but they allow one time for setting up the truck then after that the truck must remain at the terminal durring home time.

D1 Where are you man? Hey you said you were a computer guy? I wonder if you could get my laptop rtestored? I did something to it and now it freaks out and the speakers don't work at all now..

soon2Betrucking I thought I had read this on the web site? I may be wrong. I would not mind going O/O if I could figure out how finance it. Thanks TD.

Trey, straight forward O/o is not the thing to do, especially if your just starting. I have family who did it all they were company then did leased then did O/O and bought a second truck, he told me that if he did it again he would only run company, and only because of what it costs to be a o/o you dont make what they used to.

    Think of it this way,

O/O: you pay fuel, maintenance, down time it all adds up

Company: you pay nothing and get paid to drive, sure the checks might not seem as big as O/O but you dont have all the other stuff behind like the O/o do.

As far as your laptop what did you do? Or what exactly is it doing, you can pm me if you want.

BTW i have a very wide background lol,
    Computers
    Construction
    Locations (finding underground utilities)
    Welder/Fabricator
Mechanic (not certified but still can hold my own)
    and now Truck Driver.

    heh
