Hey current W/S drivers. How big is the Utah terminal? I hope bigger than the one in Phoenix? ALSO anybody use that software Drivers Daily log. A friend of mine recommended it he says he lives and dies by it even has a small printer in the truck.

Yea its bigger, has about 8-10 docks. The drop yard is by the truck wash, and there is a Sapp Bros. Truck stop accross the street.

no, they sure dont, however, if going to watkins is something that you are serious about then, yes they will...
Cage, please dont give out the wrong ideas to people. you are serious so they gave you a pre-hire...

if getting pre-hires from 5 companies is what you want just to see if you get hired and dont care who you work for then w.s wont give you a pre-hire.
roxy and sandy are good at reading people via phone.

also, if anyone fills out that application online that sends your applications to 100 different companies, then watkins will most likly look past your applications... watkins wants you to take an interest in wanting to work for them..

no showeres or drivers room at that terminal. however, the sapp brothers accross the street that wingding mentiond is a very clean place, decent food and clean showeres. i never did park in their lot over night as our yard is 50 feet away, i always thought of the other drivers who actually need the parking spots at that ts an the one in dalton, i usually park in regular car spots or at the yard. nothing pisses me off more then pulling in late at night and finding 5 bobtails all from the same company in 5 different spots. :biggrin_25510:

Thanks for the info S2B, it is on a case by case basis so no wrong info given? I did edit my other post to so that, it was not worded properly. Like you said I am 100% serious done a lot of homework on this and other sites. W/S is the company for me.

Any info on Drivers Daily log computer software? A friend of mine recommended it he says he lives and dies by it even has a small printer in the truck. Maybe W/S could check it out.

as for the software... as a new driver i would recomend using your paper log and doing it how the company wants. once your learn how to do that, then you can use your e-log. and get used to doing since it will be a way of the futute, i do know of a driver that is a poster on here who uses and hands in his printed out logs and is accepted by the company, however he had been with the company for a while now...
sure when/if he sees this he will posts his opinion on the matter.

Sorry I don't like to be made to look like a fool on a public forum so I had to ask when I talked to Roxy today and we are both actually correct. They do pre-hires for serious people on a case by case basis. So I was correct they SURE DO offer pre-hires just prefer NOT to schools but directly to individuals who they feel are serious about joining Watkins. Their pre-hire involves more than just paperwork so before they put you through certain things they make sure you are serious about joining them.

Be safe out there buddy, look forward to meeting you soon. You are one of the few I have yet to chat on the phone with. Thanks to you and all the other drivers on this board from Watkins I am making the best decision possible for my family.
