Heh, well you got lucky then, Lightbulb. I got a load, but I had 7 days to go about 1000 miles. Since I was under a load I wasn't able to get any layover pay even though I sat for several of those days.
On a similar note, I had a live load the other day in which I was held there for a total of 5 1/2 hours. According to the dispatcher I had to ASK for the detention pay on the same day or they could not do it. Guess I learned that one the hard way. Oh well.

This company is a whole different animal on the east coast.
In my opinion out west we are Long haul and east we are regional.
Most east coast trips I can make in one day no problem.
If I get a load that has a late delivery like you mentioned, I call ahead and ask about delivering early.
I have never had one as bad as you got though.
Unless its strictly not allowed like on home depot runs, I run hard and show up on the property asap and let them tell me when I can deliver.
Mos receivers are waiting on the product and are glad to see you. -
The main problem was because it was over the New Year's holiday. I did try and call to see if I could that Friday, unfortunately they said they were booked all day and couldn't get me in until Monday. Haven't really had any other big issues like that outside of the holiday madness. Will be nice to see that bonus for the holiday though

Java .... Any clue when we will get that bonus??

Sorry, didn't check the date!Last edited: Jan 21, 2009

My best guess would be that it will be included with your December bonus, but that is entirely just that.... a guess.

So in other words, I really have no clue! -
Well thanks for that offer. But that post is over a year old, I've been driving for W/S for over a year now. It's a good company to work for
you'll be happy with them. Oh if you have any questions maybe I can help
you. Thanks again -
Any you guys see a drop in stop pay?
I just got my last paycheck. $4 per stop -
No, Danc... It still seemed to be $5 per stop on my last check, which I recieved just today. Did they not count one of your stops, maybe? Just a thought.
-
$5 per stop ??? ####.
Guess that change was made somewhere, when I wasn't paying attention. I left just before Christmas, and just got my last check.
Until this one. I had always gotten $25 a stop, east run. $10 a stop west run.
