That is all good to hear. I was the one who put a post from another about the Boot Camp but it was not my thoughts that it was hard in anyway
I think anybody who has gone thru Military Boot Camp training can get thru anything else pretty easy.
I like the hours and didn't realize you could go to town and have couple beers. Dr. told me two a day with my meds were it, so I just don't bother. But can I still play with the Cow Girls?

Yeah, you can pretty much do what you want after hours. They give you some homework to do, but it's pretty easy stuff. For the ten dayers it's just 5 videos and a few open book DOT mandated tests that you have to take. They highly encourage you to practice during your freetime, but if you feel like taking the night to yourself, you can go out and "play with cow girls" all night long if you like. Again, I'm not saying you should fluff off the whole time, I'm just illustrating the point that the atmosphere is not that intense.

At my age I would rather build a model boat or RC Airplane.
Fact when I start trucking I am wonering which one of my hobbies I can take in the truck so help pass the off duty time when I am away from home.
I golf, build model boats and airplanes and have been a Ham for over 27 yrs with many rigs that work in vehicles.
I also make custom wooden pens but that takes a little mini lathe I don't think would be too good inside my truck condo.

Hey Hopfrog
I'll be going in tomorrow for the company physical ( or whatever they call it ). As long as they don't hook me up to a bunch of machines I might have a chance. If I pass I'll see you on the 26th.
???????????????????????????????????????????????????
By the way I just returned from Wisconsin today and from Sacramento to Wis. and back I only saw two Watkins & Shepard trucks. I guess they don't run I 80 much.????????? Kinda thought I'd see more the two trucks in 4K miles????????????WingRider Thanks this. -
Just talked to Bonnie today, if all goes well, I should also be in the Nov 26th class.

Gwen is getting my appt scheduled to take the testing in vegas, probably next week, I have jumped thru all the other hoops so far. So now Sal we better find more than two trucks, my friend saw one in utah last week.
We are lucky, we won't have to worry about getting a heat stroke.

Does anyone know if they hire out of Florida by any chance? I couldn't find any information on that on their website.

Well I am good to go. Passed the physical, drug, and agility test. Got the training License, and the loan approved. Will be there on the 26th! Just got to set up the travel arrangements and stuff.
Arkie, you will probably be taking your physical the same place I did off of Arville or Valley View I think it was. The agility test is nuts. They will have you doing all kinds of crazy stuff with boxes filled with 70lb weights and crawling around on the floor. I thought I was on candid camera. Very glad I found out about WS and can get this adventure started out on the right foot. Sounds like this class will be bigger than the last one.
