Funny thing about experience other drivers can tell right away if you have any. The easiest way I've seen it done is actually get out there and drive. The start time can be verified by contacting a company you drove for. That's the best. If you're out there on your own then you should have records showing what you did and when. If you don't have any of these records to show then you were out there joy-riding and gaining zero experience. It sounds to me like you're trying to take short cuts to get into the business. Just ask yourself why does the insurance companies want so much money to insure with hardly any experience? It's because you are a high risk. You need to be taught and shown the safety, defensive driving, and driving a larger truck in all kinds of environments. The every day talents other drivers go through that makes you a pay check. You can not get any of that by sleeping in a cab. Sorry to be harsh but a safer attitude along with a higher skill goal is needed here. You'll just have to get out in the trenches like the rest of us.

You can't prove something that isn't true.
You can fool people into believing things that are false. My proof of that is a woman by the name of Hillary. -
My question was if you're an owner operator, which, of all the documents you keep, are the one's that companies and their insurance will be looking at to prove experience?Last edited: Jun 3, 2016

The few main thing you must focus on is the most over looked thing most new drivers keep forgetting every day and is very important to any new driver.
"YOU ARE NOT DRIVING A CAR OR SUV OR A 4X4, IT IS A 80,000+ POUND TOP HEAVY, HEAVY TRUCK AND YOU CAN NOT STOP ON A DIME OR TURN CORNERS VERY FAST AND YOU BETTER RESPECT THAT FACT OR YOU ARE GOING TO EITHER HURT OR KILL SOMEONE OR YOUR SELF. "
"NEVER TRUST YOUR BRAKES TO STOP YOU, CHECK YOUR BREAKS REGULARLY."
"ON OR OFF ROAD IT DOES NOT MATTER, WEIGHT + SPEEDING WILL KILL YOU!!!"
