First off you can get rid of the attitude. You do not set the rules in these forums. As to your comment about everybody using their phones, it is accurate but misleading. I never used my phone for pleasure calls while driving, even with my ear piece. I kept my calls short otherwise. This app and things like it are like other things. A great idea that gets used in a dangerous way. I can not tell you how many times I have seen drivers swerving all in their lanes and get up and see them screwing around with their smartphones. This practice is actually illegal in some states and before long will be per FMCSA policy. Get off your soap box.

When I was an active driver I used a truckers GPS with traffic alerts. My unit would actually change the route automatically based on traffic or road closures. I did my level best to keep my eyes on the road while I was driving. Was I a saint all the time? No, I was not. I would adjust a radio setting or switch a CD or USB drive in my radio system from time to time. However messing around with smartphone apps while driving is not even in the same league. As it is detracted driving is getting close to being the #1 killer on our roads today. Truck drivers need to have their eyes on the road watching for traffic. The human brain can not multitask. It does one task at a time. If your screwing around with anything while driving the time doing this is time you have stopped giving driving ( the most important task ) your 100% attention.

First off I just pointed out what I see as a fact. Sorry if you seem to think that I have an attitude.

Contrary to the statement saying get off the soapbox is an attitude

Absolutely calling out someone whom is calling out others improperly is an attitude. I'm not scared to say that. I still stand by ALL my comments made! You have a problem with a post or poster there is an established procedure setup by the forum managers to handle it. As to your (fact) there are no forum rules about staying on topic. I suspect almost all of these threads have thread drift in them. It is just how it goes. Got a problem with that I suggest you contact the admins. Otherwise if you keep this up your going to always get called out by others just like I did here.
