For the record, I got no dog in this fight. I just enjoy the debate...

You said you like to drive at night. Drive at night.

395 does not mandate starting at any particular time or ending. That is why these silly assed arguments about elds causing parking issues are as ignorant as the folks making them.

I keep hearing drivers comment on ROAD DAWG shows (SiriusXM) that we should kill the 14hr rule (great), but keep the 11.
They mention in a 24hr cycle that you can drive 11hrs and that wpuld fix everything.
That may work for guys that do 500-600 mile loads and bounce from regional city to city, but a good portion of us run coast to coast.

Limiting coast to coast drivers to 11/24 cycle causes them to take approx a 12hr rest period instead of a 10.

    11 driving
30m on duty for safety check
    15m for fueling
    30m cookie break
    = 12.25 on a long day.

Still have to kill 11.75 awaiting the clock to flip.
Over the course of 8-10 days that adds up to nearly another day.

After my 10 I'm ready to roll.. not kill more time.
    One size doent fit all.

With so many drivers demanding or needing naps during the middle of the day it’s sort of surprising that Loves has not installed giant nurseries with cribs at all of their truck stops.

This is true... However if you have to load in the morning and prefer to run at night, You are currently pretty much screwed on running when you want unless you have basically a day of extra time to get to delivery. With a better split sleeper provision you could shift your day by several hours and only have to sacrifice a few hours that you could possibly been driving.
