    I don't get upset anymore, but I DO understand why the OTR guys is getting upset. A 1 hour delay to a P&D guy such as yourself is no big deal, to the OTR guy it may mean he can't reach the place he was going to stop at for the night and now may have to stop an extra hour early to get a spot. It alsoay mean he can't make it thru Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas at 3pm like he wanted and now will hit rush hour traffic.....many reasons he can be upset. But like I said, I don't let the little things get to me too much anymore because it does no good and does not accomplish anything.

    I totally agree with what your saying there SHC( I am guessing you meant 3 AM? , I never got through Dallas very quickly at 3 PM . LOL). I used to get PO'd when delayed doing OTR because of the exact reasons you mention. I guess I should have phrased my post more along the lines of not getting in the face of a single person and for drivers to just have a little understanding of the process behind the operation. Alot of the faces dealt with at shippers dont allways have control over the delays or hold ups. But like you say dont let the little things bother you and alls good.
    An hour hold up for me in the city is a pain in the ### for me as well. It can make me late for the rest of my schedule and if i am late at particular places i will miss an assigned door and have to go back later in the day. Then I get caught in rush hour traffic ands wont be home in time for the new season of "IRT deadliest roads"........then again i would rather sit in rush hour !!!!

    I am starting to sound like I am defending every shipper / reciever out there....I am not. Just saying be cool and dont let the little things ruin your day.
