We've received several copies of his USIS...they say 1995 2nd DWI and the fines, etc. I received an USIS from Werner the same day he was let go.
The weird thing is these USIS reports came in a few weeks ago, they clearly say he has had 2 DWI offenses...and yet recruiters still called after-the-fact...
for example, Lisa Motor Lines says on their website no more than ONE DWI in a lifetime. And yet the week he was at Werner, Lisa called wanting to talk with him (knowing he had 2 dwi's)
it makes me wonder if they even look at these reports?
I'll have him look into that expungement thing, thanks!
We are in a pickle!

Just keep looking. Something will turn up. It may take some time to find something due to the current state of the industry, but there will be something out there for him.

I'd call the Stevens recruiter and be honest about it. It's a 13 year old DUI for crying out loud. Let them know what happened at Werner. I got nailed in 1986 when I was 20 years old, when I started trucking in 1999, no one had a problem with it. I don't think anyone even asked about it. I might have put it on the application, to be honest, I don't remember. -
I would be curious to know, if you can get it expunged off your texas license.

When we did that for my husband's DUI, it had to be done before he got his CDL. In California, in order for anything to be removed from the CDL, it had to be 50 years old.
rookietrucker and 1pissedoffdriver Thank this. -
50 years old?? Who the hell cares what's on your record when you're retired???
-
LOL, yeah that's what we thought too.

If you don't mind my asking where in TX are you? If not too far I might have something I can line him up with.
