Why not separate the section by a "mega fleet" and owner op sub group underneath O/O's advice. That should keep it to 3 clicks.

Im with you i pay for everything on this truck permits plates everything an independent would . Only difference is i pick my freight from company board. I dont have to go look for it its there just pick a load. Go home when i want etc. My truck had 120,00o when i started the lease, my maintenance is over 9000.00 now . And ive managed to put twice as much in savings. I dont get the fleece thing at all its changed my quality of life tremendously. And if something happens medically or family i can walk . Cant do that with a bank your definetly not walking away

lease operator and an owner that leases a truck to a company , both are dependent of the company to succeed. I Have just a few months to go then i will own, Without going thru the bank . Does that qualify me to be on this thread then, so basically i gotta wait to qaulify. LOL.
The reason i lease is its my first time toward owning a truck. But im glad i did it. My friend done a lease with same company i work for 8yrs ago. He currently make 150,000 plus a year home every night weekends off .And his freight weights less than 20,000 every load is empty soap bottles for proctor gamble . He drives 418 miles round trip for 830.00 a day. Point im making here is you gotta start somewhere . You wanna a raise in trucking go from company driver to owner thats your raise . Took me 20yrs to go down this road . Glad i did call me what you want i dont care .LOL. People think there intitled to a status its pathetic we all strive to take care of our families bottom line .Some take risks others lease . Bank doesnt own me in the event something happens with health, truck or whatever it is why im making truck payments. I walk.

How does that maintenance fund work? Who gets the money if you leave, before your lease is up?

I'd say a Lease Forum would be great, but are we talking Lease Purchase, or just O/O's leased to a company????

Once that's cleared up, I'm not sure how many LP guys would use the forum because as the O/P stated, they tend to get upset and grumpy when you point out they are not a O/O but a L/P driver.

from my experience, when you turn in the truck, the amount of repairs they need to bring it up to speed matches exactly to the amount of maintenance money you were expecting

    rickybobby Thanks this.
