Sorry to burst that bubble, but, when you sign up for most forums, remember the terms and conditions that you have to click? Usually, there's something to the tune of "we can ban you at any time for breaking these terms." Sadly, usually, there's something about slander in there SOMEWHERE. And of course, on some forums, they can use that check mark against you, even if there isn't anything about slander on it anywhere in the list..........

Oh no bubble bursted, but in this case, A lot of effort just to protect one of the Ontario's superstar of trucking, they constantly changed the rules to prevent any critics.

we could critic any company as long it wasnt against challenger.
There was a lot of "admirers" (I have other names for them but...I'll stick with admirers for now) who constantly were highjacking ridiculizing whatever we brought up then the administrators and moderators were constantly changing the rules to shut us up.

The sad thing is that the site's owner is an american, and I do know how much freedom of speach is important for american so in a way, I'm very surprized and dissapointed he got into this game.

It realy doesnt matter because even if this site pretend to be a trucking site, with their actions it will instead become a very limited little social club.

Back to the thread, can we have a best and worse thread?

Sure, as long as drivers can express themselve about their experience with the carriers they are talking about.

Hey Ratfink: The Ontario Union of Carriers have lobbied again and won.

CLOSE CALL: The Ontario Trucking Association has convinced Ontario's Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) to back off its threats to audit federally regulated carriers as part of its Workwell program. I first heard about federally regulated carriers receiving the threat of WSIB audits a couple weeks ago and was working on the story when the OTA announced it succeeded in showing the government agency the error of its ways. It appears to have been a case of overzealous enforcement and, thankfully, this time common sense prevailed, eliminating the need for a costly and prolonged court battle over the legal reach of Ontario's provincial workplace safety agency. The OTA had indicated to me that it was more than willing to take this issue on in court. Thankfully, it won't be necessary. This is another example of a battle OTA has won that benefits the industry as a whole - member or not.

Hummm, youre right Prairie Boy its an union allright but I call this "union" OVA for "Ontario's VAMPIRE Association".

So this says that our VAMPIRES has "convinced" WSIB that it wasnt necessary to audit them for safety.

What is it they call "overzalous enforcment" anyway?

Those VAMPIRE dont want to be regulated by anybody they are ready to throw tons of money NOT to be regulated like any other company but will fight drivers for a cent a mile or a few hours when their equipment breaks down, and if they do give that cent a mile away you can be sure it will be cut off somewhere else.

Like I always said, to them a driver is just a piece of warm meat that holds the steering wheel.

Common sense prevailed huh????, BS! money prevailed and drivers once again are left unprotected.
I wonder what is it that those vampires realy want to hide.....LOL

Little OVA'S mafia has prevailed again!

good point but I think we overlook the part the government plays in this industry that allows these scum bags to act the way they do and treat drivers like #### then whine about a "driver shortage"
the federal government is the real culprit imo
oh and I hope this forum isn't run by some #### bags hiding in the corner
keep up the good work and I worked for Challenger too for 2 weeks, 5 days of that was for un-paid orientation. :biggrin_25526:
this industry is run by the inmates, no bout adout it.

    They even have a name;
