Oh we will know soon enough LOL just look at what hapenned at another supposed trucking forum.
The company's favorite ###### was all over each thread to make sure nothing negative was writen about it ridiculizing everything anybody would say.
Then moderators (who are probably looking for a job there) administrators got involved changing rules and even banning words like VAMPIRE because I like to call companies owners like that.
Of course I had other names much worse for them but I didnt think VAMPIRES was that offensive lol.
Now everything is real quiet, nobody talks about this marvelous company because everybody who has anything negative to say were banned and the ones left are admirers.
But reality is catching up to those people.
Youre an example, how long did you stay????
And where are you from?
you are not one of the few wingnuts from Québec like they tried to spread all over.Mule Bleue Thanks this. -
Yanke has been owned by Marcoux Brothers for many years, did they sell out??? I'll try a link.
http://www.profilecanada.com/companydetail.cfm?company=108922_Yanke_Group_of_Companies_Saskatoon_SK
Marcoux is still involved. They started it at Delisle, Saskatchewan just west of Saskatoon. -
Prairie Boy keeping me honest
Correct, they belong to the group dÁquino leads, I think they're the only trucking company, this is conspiracy theory stuff though so I should leave this for another thread I think.
thanx for the heads-up PB -
Since this is the best and worst places to work thread I will add my 2 cents worth.
I would have to say the best is Erb Transport.Paid well and paid for pretty well everything you do.Put in about 11 years there.
Second would be Challenger Motor Freight. Not quite as good as Erb but pretty close.Close to 25 years at CMF:smt038
Worst place would have to be SLH.Never worked at SLH but know guys that have.Scary!
-
actually yanke started first as -i think marcoux trucking--in vanscoy--then bought n yanke--from churchbridge maybe--around yorkton anyways--i believe russell is still ceo--but now there are others involved as well--i waqs there when russell was sole owner--and i thought he was a pretty good down to earth guy

I was at challenger for 15 years and I say it was good for a while but things got very bad and now it's one of the worse, I quit there because drivers are lied to and treated like meat.
And about SLH? I have been there a while too, not bad but they are on the same system as challenger like most big carriers but better work and better miles, Dispatch is way better organized than challenger, a few friend of mine have left challenger and are still there since 12 and 15 years , But like all big carriers of ontario, they all do the same thing, your just a number.Last edited by a moderator: Apr 24, 2011

Welcome to the real world, trucking world, at least.
I just started a new job with a small local company, only 4 or 5 drivers, very nice so far and pay is decent too, I'll let yuz know. -
Got that right, but looks like we all are whiners when we try to denounce those vampires dirty little tricks.Mule Bleue Thanks this.

You know the old saying 'write to your MP', well I think that would be a good idea for all of us.
I kno they're brain dead too but it's a great way to vent off against these blood suckers and who knows if enough of us write a letter they might even listen some day.
I kno nothing will change unless the G-people start doing their jobs.
Unless we all sign up with the Teamsters
which works 4me.Mule Bleue Thanks this.
