Lots of people get confused on the split ! You will get the .25 for your miles , as long as you drive equal miles. Or .12 1/2 for all miles the truck moves. You know this is low , but it's getting her started . Keep her nose clean, get a year under her belt , if she wants she can get something better. Or she my be just happy where she is . That is her call. Wish her the best on her path!
Calling people idiots , how is that helping ? Make you feel like a big man? -
You quoted the wrong person, she never called anybody an idiot.TROOPER to TRUCKER and sassy_southern_trucker Thank this.

Being conservative on figures and knowing this is company numbers that might be a tad inflated
Lets speculate - new driver at 0.27 cpm (post 86). From CRST :
1. How many miles can I run?
Our average length of haul is approximately 1,400 to 1,500 miles – the longest in the industry!
This means more time working and less time waiting. Our commitment to the long-haul market
provides you with consistent mileage all year long. Our teams can currently average over
4,800 to 5,100 miles/week.
Looks like $648 gross a week. However the good news is :
3. How much money can I expect to make?
Experienced professional driver first year earnings depend on whether you run as a Lead
Driver or Team Co-Driver. Lead Drivers earn between $35,000 and $45,000 in their first year.
We have many experienced professional Teams earning over $100,000 annually.
Inexperienced co-drivers drivers in their first year can expect to average $30,000. Keep in
mind, most of this money is earned in the second half of your first year due to pay raises and
more experience as a professional driver.
Bottom line is put in the time/work and the money will increase like every other place you go.sassy_southern_trucker Thanks this. -

CAT parts out of Illinois is that the cat factory that good old now totally defunct Star Transport of Morton, IL used to do? I think CAT was like Stars biggest customer and then I don't know if the contract was up or what, but more and more CRST trailers started showing up at the CAT plant and after that it was straight down the toilet for Star Transport. Shame too, because if Star was still around we would still be talking about them on this forum.

It's pretty much the equivalent of modern day share cropping.p608, TequilaSunrise and Ooops Thank this.
