Holy dear Jesus why would you do that to yourself? I mean, if you enjoy team driving with another inexperienced driver and putting your life in their hands, who am I to judge... I suppose.

I do remember a nice little fireball on 85 in charlotte on my second day of orientation with Schneider. A swift trainee drove truck into a bridge and killed both himself and trainer who was sleeping in the back. That one cemented my idea of never teaming with anyone that I didn't trust implicitly. And hey, I've still never slept in the back of a moving truck.

P.S. My first solo check at Schneider was over $700. And that was week four. (First three are orientation lol) Only time I've had checks less than that since then have been when I took 5 days off that week for home time.

P.P.S. OP, best of luck to ya. Reading thru the thread it seems like you've got your head in the right place. Just.. don't hesitate to jump ship as soon as you can.

I really wanna compare notes with the prime fanboy now. I bet I can make prime look like a bag of donkey droppings if I compare it side by side with the big great (faster than prime lease trucks now) pumpkin.

Welcome! And I feel that I have to clarify this for most people that are replying to the thread that sound like they hate them. I don't believe that we hate CRST. It's more about the question of why. For me, it's all about money out here. I am away from home for weeks at a time. Living in a truck. I want to be paid as much as possible for doing that. Choosing CRST and knowing what they are willing to offer… It is just hard to comprehend why. There are other training programs out there at other companies that are fine. As far as just labeling a company… I have a friend that does great at TMC. Another one who makes way more than I do at swift. I drive for a company that people are genuinely scared of approaching me on the highway because some of our drivers are absolutely awful. It's all about what is important to you. If maximizing what you can make in your first year isn't important, CRST is a fine company to drive for. For me, I do not want to team. I will not drive a truck that has a camera. I wanted to have a short training. And was not willing to team drive while I was in training. And I also want to make as much money as possible. For those reasons, I drive for Schneider. They started me off with way more money than any other company would pay. That does not happen to everyone. So, in my particular situation, it works out great. For someone else, it might not.

To those following this thread I want to let everyone know I left CRST. Even though I do like to see the positive in things, it's is impossible to roll #### in glitter and it not be ####. I was very happy with the school, but I realized that the company was ridiculously good at trying to conceal #### with glitter. I will not go into detail but I will say this, I am no longer at CRST, and I am beyond glad about that. I am going to acquire a CDL, but it isn't at CRST.

Was going to say, that's pretty much all the two threads on the subject were about. Some people gotta learn the hard way I guess.

Best of luck to ya @sassy_southern_trucker. People can be wrong, but when literally everyone is saying don't do something, maybe don't do it next time :)
