I think what they're saying is you split the 25 cpm for EVERY mile basically. You can look at it two ways.
You get 25 cpm for every mile you drive, and nothing when your partner is driving.
Or you get 12.5 cpm for every mile the truck drives as long as you do half the driving.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
Edalghazi, austinmike and ladr Thank this. -
Thats good money just starting out. I expect no more than five when i first get on the road. Maybe 300 at the least. Until i get experience anyway.DRAGON64 Thanks this.

lease purchase sucks. Especially with limited load boards.DRAGON64, RollingRecaps and TROOPER to TRUCKER Thank this.

Well that would only be true if your co driver drives as many miles as you though. otherwise it would make more sense to calculate it the correct way.

Uh-huh and I'm going to win the lottery tonight.sassy_southern_trucker and TROOPER to TRUCKER Thank this.

Yes I would rather think of it as I get X when I drive X and not worry about what the other guy is getting.
But it does seem I see it a lot when people talk about team driving. When asked what the pay is like, more often than not they used the 50% estimate. As in I get 13 cpm per mile the truck drives.
